1. Introduction and who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how TEAMITAPP collects, uses and shares information about you when you use our mobile and web applications, websites and related services together called the Services.

In this Policy TEAMITAPP and the terms we, us and our refer to MountBL LLC, a company organized under the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States of America.

By creating an account or using the Services you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Policy.

2. Information we collect

We collect information in three main ways:

information we collect automatically when you use the Services

information we receive from third parties

2.1 Information you provide directly

When you create an account you may provide your name, email address, mobile phone number, profile photo, date of birth and sports or activity preferences. When you create or join events you provide event details, descriptions, photos and other content. When you contact us you provide the contents of your messages.

2.2 Information collected automatically

We collect information about how you use the Services, including the features you use, the events you view or join, the searches you make and the time and duration of your activity. We collect device information such as device type, operating system and unique device identifiers. We collect log data such as IP address, browser type and pages visited.

2.3 Location information

We collect location information in two ways. First, we use approximate location based on your IP address or device settings to show you events that are near you. Second, with your permission, we access your precise device location to enable the check in feature. You can control location permissions through your device settings.

2.4 Information from third parties

If you sign in using a third party service such as Apple or Google we receive basic account information from that service, such as your name and email address, in accordance with that service's privacy settings.

3. How we use information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

3.1 To provide and operate the Services

We use your information to create and manage your account, to display events near you, to enable you to create, join and manage events, to enable check in and attendance tracking and to facilitate communication between Hosts and Participants.

3.2 To personalize your experience

We use information about your activity and preferences to show you events and content that may interest you, to improve search and discovery and to tailor the Services to you.

3.3 To communicate with you

We use your contact information to send you account related messages such as verification codes and security alerts, event related updates such as confirmations and reminders, and service announcements. We may also send you optional marketing communications where permitted by law.

3.4 To improve and develop TEAMITAPP

We use information about how users interact with TEAMITAPP to understand what works, what does not and where we should focus our efforts. We may use aggregated and de identified information to analyze performance, understand which types of events are popular in which areas, improve search and discovery features and test and improve designs and user experience.

3.5 To comply with legal obligations and protect rights

We may use your information to comply with applicable laws, regulations and legal processes, respond to lawful requests from public and government authorities and protect our rights, property and safety and the rights, property and safety of our users and the public.

4. Legal bases for processing where required

Some laws, for example in the EU and the UK, require us to explain the legal bases we rely on when we process personal data.

Where those laws apply we process your information on one or more of the following legal bases:

to perform a contract with you, for example to provide the Services under the Terms of Use

for our legitimate interests, for example to operate, improve and secure the Services

to comply with legal obligations, for example when we keep certain records for tax or accounting purposes

with your consent, for example where local law requires consent for certain types of communications

You can withdraw your consent at any time where we rely on it by changing your settings or contacting us.

5. Phone numbers, SMS and other communications

5.1 Phone numbers and SMS

When you provide your mobile number we use it primarily to verify your account when you sign up, send one time codes when you log in or confirm changes and send security alerts if we detect unusual activity on your account.

We currently use SMS only for account verification and security messages and not for marketing or promotional messages. If we later want to send other types of SMS messages we will update this Policy and obtain any required consent.

We do not sell or share your phone number or your SMS consent with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

You can stop receiving TEAMITAPP SMS messages at any time by following the opt out instructions in the message.

5.2 Email, push notifications and in app messages

We may use email, push notifications and in app messages to send important information about your account and the Services, provide event related updates when necessary and share product news and optional offers to the extent allowed by law.

You can control some of these communications through your device and app settings or by using unsubscribe links in emails.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

If you use TEAMITAPP on the web, we and our service providers may use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, measure traffic and usage patterns and help protect the Services from abuse.

You can usually control cookies through your browser settings. If you delete or reject cookies, some features of the Services may not work properly.

In the mobile app we may use software development kits (SDKs) and similar technologies provided by analytics and crash reporting tools to help us understand app performance and usage and to fix problems quickly.

7. How we share information

We share information in the following situations:

7.1 Service providers

We work with trusted third parties that perform services for us such as hosting and infrastructure, SMS and email delivery, analytics and error monitoring, payment processing if and when payments are enabled, and customer support tools. These service providers can access your information only to perform tasks on our behalf.

7.2 Other users

The nature of TEAMITAPP means some of your information is visible to other users. Your profile information such as name and profile photo may be visible to users who view your profile or events. When you create an event as a Host the event listing is visible to users who are allowed to see that event. When you join an event as a Participant the Host can see that you have joined.

Your exact device location is not shared with other users in real time.

7.3 Legal and safety reasons

We may share information with authorities or other third parties if we believe in good faith that doing so is reasonably necessary to comply with any applicable law or regulation, protect the safety, rights or property of us, our users or the public, or detect, prevent or address fraud, security or technical issues.

7.4 Business transfers

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, restructuring, sale of assets, financing or similar transaction, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction as permitted by law.

8. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including as long as you have an account, as long as we need the information to provide the Services and as long as we are required to keep it by law.

When we no longer need personal information and we are not required by law to keep it, we will take steps to delete it or anonymize it.

9. Children

TEAMITAPP is intended for users who are at least fourteen years old.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under fourteen. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under the applicable minimum age we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

10. International transfers

We are based in the United States and we may store and process information in the United States and in other countries where we or our service providers operate.

These countries may have data protection laws that are different from those in your country. We take steps to protect your information in line with this Policy wherever it is processed.

If you are a consumer and you live in the European Union, the United Kingdom or another country that gives you mandatory consumer protection or data protection rights, you also benefit from any mandatory protections that apply under the laws of your country.

11. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live you may have certain rights over your personal information. These can include:

the right to access the personal data we hold about you

the right to correct inaccurate or incomplete data

the right to request deletion of your data in some circumstances

the right to object to or restrict certain processing

the right to data portability in some circumstances

the right to withdraw consent where we rely on consent

12. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes we will update the Last updated date at the top of the Policy and may provide additional notice such as through email or in app notification.

If you continue to use the Services after the updated Policy takes effect you are deemed to have accepted the changes.
